Clergy and Lay Staff

Rev. Jan Nunley Priest-In-Charge

Ordained in 1994, Mother Jan has served The Episcopal Church in a wide variety of contexts:as a communicator at the diocesan, seminary, national, and international levels:as rector of a urban congregation in transition, in the small villages of the Hudson Highlands, and now as priest-in-charge at St. Peter's Peekskill. When Susie and I arrived in Peekskill in 2000, we immediately sought out St. Peters and became part of the rich life of the Peekskill community. For the next eight years , I struggled with the challenges of communicating the news of the Episcopal Church to the world from the Episcopal Church Center in midtown Manhattan. During that time the clergy and peoples of St. Peter's were a welcome and much-needed reminder that the true fullness of the Church's Life lay in the vital day-to-day presence and work of the Church at the local level. Now I am blessed to be St. Peter' priest-in-charge, to continue the good work begun over the last 250 years of its' life as a congregation and I look forward to what God has in store for St. Peter's for its next 250 year of service.
